Emirates Arena
The Glasgow Rocks Basketball team have moved their home base to the newly completed Emirates Arena Sports Hall which is situated next door to the Glasgow Velodrome. The main sports hall has space for 12 badminton courts and 3 FIBA standard basketball courts with a seating capacity for  over 1000 spectators.

The Glasgow Rocks will make the Emirates Arena their home court, not only playing games their but also locating their offices in the new sports complex.

The new Arena will also provide the people of Glasgow with one of the biggest Glasgow Club gyms in the city with well over 55 pieces of equipment in the gym, and with views overlooking the Velodrome and the Indoor Arena.

The sports hall floor is a sprung wooden Junckers SylvaSport  surface, supplied and installed by McKay Flooring who also carried out the installation of the FIBA Basketball sports courts.

The entire sports floor area is over 1,500m2 in size and has 15 competition standard sports courts marked out for a range of sports including Basketball, Badminton, Netball and indoor football. The new venue and flooring works are part of the huge Glasgow Commonwealth Games development that Glasgow City Council have carried out to regenerate the cities east end.
